Liliane Dewachter is an art historian,curator and critic based in Brussels.
She holds a degree in Art History and Archeology from the VUB ,Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
From 1979 until 1986 she worked at the Palais des Beaux- Arts(currently BOZAR)in Brussels on many exhibitions and publications such as Raoul De Keyser,Karel Appel,Walter Swennen,Video ,Computer

From 1986 until last year she was curator -and from 2006 on Head of Exhibitions- at M HKA,Museum of Contemporary Art,in Antwerp. In this function she published a lot of catalogues and

In this capacity she was also in charge of the acquisition of multiples and artist's books for the museum's collection.
She is member of the Belgian section of the International Association of Art Critics (AICA)
